Crosshair guide Valorant: The best custom reticle colour for all maps

Riot's tactical shooter Valorant requires that players are precise with crosshair placement. The crosshair style that suits their playstyle best is something players spend a lot time deliberating about. The reticle's colour is a less well-known but equally important topic. It plays an essential role in accuracy and placement.

The majority of Redditors prefer 'cyan' or "yellow" as their default crosshair colors for all maps. Redditor, however, took the time to create custom colors using his programming skills.

Players can now choose the hexadecimal number of any color that they like with patch 5.04. Having too many choices can be distracting. Any confusion can be dispelled by a guide to the best reticle colour on each map.

Every map in Valorant can have custom crosshair colors

It is important to maintain a contrast between crosshair colors and backgrounds. This allows players to see clearly and helps them place crosshairs accurately in order to secure kills or lineups.

Redditor u/usewhynot took the time to take videos of himself looking at all maps from different angles. The Python script he used to interpret each video and determine the most contrasting colors was used for each map.

Check out the best-suited custom colours for your crosshair in Valorant.

  1. Ascent: #00e0ff (a shade Cyan)
  2. Bind: #00a1ff (a shade Cyan-Blue).
  3. Breeze: #00ffdf (a lightly greenish shade Cyan).
  4. Fracture: #005bff. (Darker Shade of Cyan-Blue).
  5. Haven: #0078ff (a shade Cyan-Blue).
  6. Icebox: #2aff00 (a color of Green)
  7. #ff1d00 (a color of Red)

Most of the shades mentioned above are a variation of cyan, an optimally-contrasting color for all map backgrounds in Valorant. It isn't compatible with certain angles in Icebox or Pearl. It found that a variety of green was suitable for Icebox's white background and a shade red for Pearl's oceany look.

Open in-game settings, and then go to the Crosshair’ tab. Click on Primary to open the drop-down menu for colors. Choose 'Custom'. Enter the hexadecimal code for the color you wish to test.

Players were limited to using eight colors as crosshair styles before patch 5.04. There were only eight options for crosshair style: white, green and yellow-green. For default purposes, most people preferred cyan, yellow or red. It's not necessary to stick with the default colors.

To find the best Valorant option for you, you can experiment with the codes above. It may take time to find the sweet spot, but it is well worth the effort. The key to perfect headshots is finding the right crosshair color.

Players are able to express their creativity with the availability of customized crosshair settings. In the past few weeks, many new and innovative reticle styles were created. These styles may not be the best for competitive Valorant play, but many people enjoy using them in games.
